Laplace transform   (English)

Definition (undergraduate level)

If we have f(x), a function of x, we can turn it into another function of another variable, say y, using the Laplace transform:
F(y) =

0
exy f(x)dx .

Sometimes this is written F(y)=L(f(x)).
