Flip   (English)

Definition (keystage 2)

To turn something over.
When you flip a coin you turn it over a random number of times.
When asked to flip a shape you usually imagine it turning over an imaginary line. The image of the shape appearing as a reflection in that line.

Definition (keystage 3)

A reflection of a two dimensional shape, which can be described as lifting the shape out of its plane, flipping it over and putting it back down.
