Definition (keystage 2)
The distance all the way round the boundary of a shape. Perimeter is sometimes used to refer to the boundary itself.
Example (keystage 2)
A school may have a perimeter fence. The perimeter of a circle is its circumference.
Definition (keystage 3)
The edge of a shape, or the distance along the edge of a shape.
