Quart   (English)

Definition (keystage 2)

A unit of volume equal to a quarter of a gallon. (This can be an imperial gallon, in Britain, where the quart is not very commonly used, or an American gallon in the U.S.A. where the quart is used more frequently.) An imperial quart is about 1.136525litres, and an American quart is about 0.946353 litres.
