Quotient   (English)

Definition (keystage 2)

The number of times one number can be divided exactly into another.
If you divide ten by five, the quotient is two: 10/5 = 2
If you divide thirteen by three, the quotient is four, with a remainder of one: 13/3 = 4 r.1
