Definition (keystage 2)

A set of numbers that have been placed in a specific order.
There is usually a rule which links each number with its position in the sequence.
e.g: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14...
3, 7, 11, 15, 19 ...
23, 19, 15, 11...
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13,...

Definition (keystage 3)

A list of numbers which goes on forever. The numbers are called the terms of the sequence. There is usually some rule which says what the next term will be. Eg:
1, 3, 5, 7, 9 ...
2, 3, 8, 63, 3968 ...
0, 3.5, 13, 31.5, 62, 107.5 ...
